Campus Shuttle Services and Handicapped Parking
Park & Ride from Varsity Theatre area: Free JCC Express shuttle service begins at 7:15 a.m. weekdays. This free shuttle runs on a continuous 20-minute cycle. The shuttle stops include: the Varsity Building on University Avenue (adjacent to Varsity Theatre parking lot); Japanese Cultural Center (adjacent to JCC's indoor parking garage -- another low-cost, off-campus parking alternative); Pucks Alley; Varsity Gate; Lower Campus; Law School on Dole Street (hop off here to attend Osher Institute; it's just across from Institute classrooms in Krauss Hall); St John Hall; Varney Circle fountain; and returning to the Varsity Building shuttle stop on University Avenue. The last JCC Express shuttle leaves the UHM campus from Varney Circle at 4 p.m. weekdays.
Faculty Housing Shuttle: This shuttle route leaves from Varney Circle and goes into Manoa Valley every 20 minutes with a marked stop at the Institute for Astronomy and Faculty Housing on Woodlawn Drive.
Handicapped Parking Permits: If you possess a valid City & County Disability Placard, you may purchase a visitor parking ticket for $3 at any campus entry gate and park in any marked parking stall on campus. To be valid, display the visitor parking ticket on the dashboard and place the City & County Disability Placard on the rearview mirror.
Campus Express Shuttle: Free shuttle service for the public offers a quick route across campus. Campus Express begins at the Law School on Dole Street and loops through campus on 15 minute intervals. It makes designated stops at Burns Hall; Jefferson Hall; St. John Hall; Varney Circle Fountain; Maile Way; Law School Parking Lot near Orvis Auditorium, then returns to the Law School. The last express leaves Varney Circle at 5 p.m.
