  • Senior Citizen Visitor Program: Although, this program at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa is not part of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, the two programs do work in concert to provide an array of intellectually stimulating lifelong learning opportunities for older persons. Unlike OLLI's educational membership program comprised of short courses and workshops that are open to all older persons for a flat $60 fee per term, the Senior Citizen Visitor Program (SCVP) provides tuition-free access to semester-long course for qualified Hawai'i residents who are at least 60 years of age. Participants in the SCVP "visit" university courses, but do not receive course credit that counts toward a degree. For more information about the SCVP, please contact Dr. Lee Putnam, Queen Lili'uokalani Center for Student Services 413, UH Manoa, or call 956-9317, or email lputnam@hawaii.edu, or visit the SCVP website.

Note: If you have a web site to include in our Hawai'i Hot Links, please e-mail your URL and a brief description of your site to dubanosk@hawaii.edu. Thanks!
